I'm a new member here and I have links to a couple of bald eagle's nests (can't post links yet cause I'm new) but would be glad to share the links if anyone wants to pm me for them. One of the nests is located in Maryland and the first egg hatched yesterday. This cam updates every 30 seconds and there is an osprey cam you can watch on that site also. The other cam is located in Massachusetts and these poor eagles have really been battling the snow and ice to get their nest ready for laying eggs. The mom finally started sitting yesterday and this morning when I check the poor thing is surrounded by snow. This one is a streaming video so shows in real time. Ann
I am posting these for southernmom! They look pretty cool! Thanks for sharing them with us! This one is from Maryland: http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/camhtm2.html and this one is from Massachusetts: http://www.neenergyinc.com/eagles/default.asp
I enjoyed reading all the info.! One thing I didn't know was that the eggs hatch in the order they are laid! I never really thought of that before, but found it interesting! Thanks for sharing!
that is neat, thanks so much. I found one the other day about Crazy Horse in SD where they are craving the that horse out of rock they change the cam every few seconds.
this is neat thanks for posting. Where my parents live they eagles have come to the dam to visit. They enjoying going a watching them. They only stay for a short time then they head back north. We will be going to my parents today and I hope we get to see the eagles. My son has never seen one.
I feel so sorry for that poor eagle in Massachusetts with all the snow. I've been watching to see if she has an egg yet but haven't seen her move enough to see. I'm thinking since this is her third day to be sitting that she should have at least one egg by now. And the little baby in the Maryland nest is so cute. We are really gonna enjoy watching them grow up. Ann
