Oh my goodness. This is disgusting! I so hope that the school doesn't get out of their obligations on appeal.

That is appalling!! The school district should just cut their losses by agreeing to pay the private school tuition for the next 11 years. The more they appeal the worse they look. Additionally, that "teacher" needs to be fired and the whole incident needs to follow her wherever she goes!!

I am sitting here trying to figure out how to put my outrage into words but words fail me.

I too have a child on the autism spectrum, and i can only imagine the pain and anger that must have caused that mom and dad. I am so thankful i can homeschool him and be confident that we are giving him the best individualized educational plan out there.

My autistic son was verbally abused at school. I suspected it when a teacher sent a nasty note home, but he was not able to tell me until we'd been homeschooling a long time. People like that should lose their jobs. They just think they can get away with picking on a handicapped kid.

How disgusting!!!! I have tears in my eyes. Can you imagine finding out that has been happening to your child and what that poor boy went through and didn't have the ability to tell his Mom. I sure hope it is made that that woman cannot teach anywhere.
I have a special needs child and I am so glad we are homeschooling now. Not that things like that happen every day, but there are so many teachers and teacher's assistants out there with not enough patience for these kids.

(Although I know that there are many that are amazing.)

This is one of the reasons why we need homeschooling.
