I cannot believe I joined the Spot almost 7 yrs ago!!! Our hsing journey has definitely been interesting lol with many, many ups and downs. Through it all I had to keep the faith that we were doing the right thing and I am very thankful I had my friends on here to see me through. As of 2:20 pm today, Joyce will be fully on her way to her next destination in her schooling journey. She starts Technical College today with the eventual goal of Vet Tech as of now anyway lol. It's going to be a very interesting juggle between her classes, watching the grands, and my working. I am so thankful my job came along when it did because I don't know how we would have managed the gas. I was supposed to be starting today also but a dropped class 17 yrs ago has me owing $320 I need to pay back before I can enroll. Very ironic because I will be getting paid to go by the VA once I get that paid. Wish I had that money up front but for now I am content in the knowledge that by summer at the least I can start back. Work - thank you so much for the faith that was shown here in my decision to even apply for work. I did it mostly on a whim/joke never dreaming I would get hired but I did and was one of three who were asked to stay on as regular hires!! I am enjoying it so much. The hours haven't been huge - around 35 for two weeks BUT it is an opportunity to get out, learn something new AND earn what is now allowing Joyce to move ahead. I was so scared the first week but now I can laugh at myself. I've been blessed that the majority of the folks I work with are willing to help out and answer my questions with a smile. Thanks again to all who have been here for me! I'm definitely not leaving here anytime soon!
The years have flown by and I am so thankful we found each other here. You have become such a great friend over the years. It has been so much fun watching Joyce and your grands growing up. Thanks for helping me through the Army years with Bobby. I still wish we had that backyard fence to prop on and talk. I am so proud of you for going after that job. Give Joyce a hug and wish her our best. I know she will do great in school.

So glad things are working out so well for you all. I recently took on babysitting an infant full-time. I put the idea out there on a Spirit-led whim and it stuck, too. :lol: Glad you are sticking around.
I'm so happy for all of your family Jennifer!!! Tell Joyce I'm extremely proud of her!!! When she hit all those bumps with school just a short time ago she could have just said forget it, but she didn't!!! You all are doing awesome things these days, your futures can only be brighter because of it!
wow time does fly. Tell Joyce she did a wonderful job and we all are proud of her and knew she could do it.
