I'm trying to find sample book reports on stories that kids commonly know (like fairy tales or Disney stories).

My son has never had to write a real report before... but we're trying something new with history -- having him read a library book & then writing a report on it. (He needs to work on his writing skills & handwriting anyways).

So, I've got lots of guidelines..... but he's still got that blank stare like "Huh?"... so I think a sample report of a story he knows would help break through that.

    Thanks.

OH YEAH -- and IN MY SEARCH, I came across this site: www.book-report.org

For a fee, THEY will provide students with a book report. How sad is that?!? And I wonder how many kids are skimming by on that one!

I have REALLY let my site go...
I cannot believe this is not listed on my pages.
Should be listed under Reading AND Grammar...

    http://www.lovetolearnplace.com/BookReports/BookReport.html

At the bottom of the page there is a grade grid.
Click on the grade you are interested in and again, when that pages loads, go all the way to the bottom...
There you will find several grade level book report printables... Click on any or all. They are PDFs.

They are like Fill In the Blanks... in increasing complexity...

The child is supposed to use them to lead their thoughts, fill in the blanks.. then re-write out their book report on a blank sheet of paper.

However, for kindergarten and first grade I just simply let them fill in the blanks....

    Again, the link...
