Okay I'm sure this has been discussed here, but a search didn't turn up much (except the last time I asked something similar  ) and I can't find anything much googling it either.

I really need a book review site with a Christian world view. Anyone??? Please??

I've looked and looked and looked. Then, while talking to someone about a movie review site I use, she said she uses http://www.commonsensemedia.org/ for movie reviews. I realized it has books on it, too!! It's not perfect (but what is?), but it's great. :D

hahaha DaLynn! Sorry I had to laugh at the "Christian World" statement...kinda like an oxy moron. Get it Christian...world!

For us we usually stick to books that are in the Christian bookstores and I have done a thorough search about the authors. Good luck.

It's a play on words from what Christ taught in the Bible ... Christians are "in" the world, but not "of" the world. We're commanded to be a "peculiar" people, holy, and set apart from ungodliness.

Interesting...there is the same sort of thing in Islam. The following is a hadith, which is the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.

Abû Hurayrah relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Islam began strange, and it will become strange again just like it was at the beginning, so blessed are the strangers.” [Sahîh Muslim (1/130)]

    Thanks, I'll check it out!

And, Suzanne, maybe I should've omitted that space there... "Christian worldview"? I just wasn't sure. LOL But yeah, funny! ;)

Depending on what you are looking for a review of exactly

FOTF has a couple of book review links http://www.focusonthefamily.com/parenting/protecting_your_family/book_reviews_for_parents.aspx (geared toward tween/teen books)

    and

    http://www.thrivingfamily.com/Family/Media/book-review-archives.aspx

BTW, if you haven't seen it yet, their movie reviews http://www.pluggedin.com/ are top notch! They list like every little thing in the movie that a parent might find questionable. Find a movie you know well and read the review on it and you'll see what I mean!
