Hey guys, a friend gave me her daughter's old ABEKA curriculum for 8, 9, and 10th grades. I am trying to figure out what is missing, but I can't even get the abeka website to show me the books for any grade. I have Of Places textbook & teacher key, English 8 video manual, Grammar & Comp. II Teacher key, Voc Spelling Poetry II teacher key, VSP tests teacher key, G &C tests teacher key, America Land I Love textbook, test key, quiz key, teacher guide/curriculum, answer key to the text, "a science project", Science/Health 8 video manual, Matter & Motion textbook, test & quiz key, Let's be healthy Quiz, review, and test keys, Let's be healthy answer key, Let's be healthy textbook, Science in Action book. Is there a grammar book? Am I just missing workbooks? And why can't ABeka put all the answer keys in one book instead of needing four per subject? Jennifer
Wow!~ that's a friend! Math? It looks like you're only missing the workbooks for G&C and VSP, test/quiz books for everything. The Abeka website lists 8 items for Health; 21 for history but some like flashcards and transparencies, and quiz bowl stuff, are optional, but it lists a nation notebook and a civics activity book that are not labeled optional; 8 items for literature but one is a download and transparencies are optional; 5 items for literature, but the teacher edition is listed as optional; 7 items for the Matter & Motion set (it looks like it's being replaced by a new 8th grade science). The 7 items include an Activity Book and key. It's one thing I hate about Abeka - a student book for everything, and a teacher key for everything. Separately. Rod & Staff gets by with one student book, one teacher manual, one book of tests, maybe one book of worksheets (depending on the subject), and ALL the answers are in the one teacher manual!
