We are having trouble with breakfast ideas, and the poor kids are having cereal, yoguart and toast every day and it is boring!

I have also been told off for not eating enough for breakfast! so any ideas are welcome

    thank you

On the weekends, make large batches of pancakes, french toast, waffles, breakfast burriitos, etc & freeze them. That way, all you have to do is warm them up in the microwave & you have homemade breakfast every day. Also, if you make a few things, the kids get more variety & each can choose their own breakfast.

    pancakes or waffles

    french toast sticks

grapefruit halves, cut the sections and sprinkle with a little sugar (you can also put them under the broiler to make it extra special)

tortilla with peanutbutter put banana slices and roll up

Oatmeal with fruit or maple syrup

    yogurt parfait (with granola)

even oatmeal cookies------ heavy on the oatmeal and add raisins and walnuts (or craisins)

I am in a breakfast rut too. The kids mainly eat poptarts or cereal or frozen waffles. Why? I have no clue. I know so many other things to make. I just don't. I need a kick in the rear to do better. I am going shopping today so I think I will pick up some stuff. I do make better breakfast on weekends like pancakes, pigs in a blanket and homemade waffles.

We get in ruts fairly often, too.

    My kids like:

Breakfast Tacos (scrambled eggs in flour tortillas with salsa and a touch of sour cream)
    Waffles
Cereal (I do not buy sugary stuff, Bran Flakes, Corn Flakes, Cheerios, etc)
Graham Crackers and milk (no worse than cereal, right?)
Weekends we make Pancakes and I try to double the batch, though, they rarely last beyond the weekend! LOL :)
Yogurt, yogurt drinks, smoothies are very popular with my kids
    I love grits, personally.
    My kids don't. :(
    My husband loves oatmeal.
Neither the kids or I do...BUT
I make muffins too, Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins, Orange Cranberry Muffins are my faves....kids too....We buy bananas specifically to get them to go bad for muffins. :)
OH...BAKED FRENCH TOAST...I prep in the night before - then all I have to do is pop in the oven in the a.m.!!! :)

Hope this helps get you out of a rut!

Ok one time I took my oldest to the doctor has she was having alot of headaches and it was from not eatting in the morning well that girl can't stand breakfast food in the morning much. So the doctor said where in writing does it say you have to have eggs in the morning let her eat whatever she wants. So, I have been that happen about 10 years ago. Some days she eats breakfast foods, other days she eats a ham sandwich, cold pizza, stuff like that. So, I say let them eat whatever they want breakfast is important.

My kids like me to make sausage, potatoes, and gravy all together, put them into tortillas and then freeze them. They warm up in the microwave.

Vicki can't stand breakfast. She will eat green beans, left over chinese, lean, cuisine, and spaghetti. I have tried everything for her to eat. I figure as long as she eats that is all that counts.

Kris, I thought Vicki was the only who ate strange. lol

My daughter loves cinnamon graham crackers with peanut butter. She will also happily eat hummus and crackers in the morning.

Cold pizza & left over chinese food are some of the best breakfast foods ever.
I'm not a big breakfast person - never have been. I love breakfast food, just not in the morning.

Cold pizza with hot coffee is just about my favorite breakfast! Cold fried chicken is a good one too.

We like "breakfast" for supper: eggs and pancakes, or eggs and biscuits, waffles, whatever. Sometimes just a bowl of cereal.

When I was little my Mom almost always made rice with milk and sugar served with boiled raisins (to rehydrate) on top. YUM. I make it for the girls but not that often. It is pretty easy though!

My husband visits Israel through his work and there, for breakfast, is mostly fresh food like salads and fruits.

We do smoothies several days a week and then add a bowl of cereal or oatmeal or some muffins. We do fresh fruit, frozen fruit, yogurt and just enough juice to help it liquefy. You get all kinds of good nutrients to start out your day and with a little bit of carbs, it keeps you full until lunch.
