    Has anyone done this.
My son was watching a shoe about cob houses. He wants to build something out of cob. I am going to the library to dig up some books. I know where I can get straw and sand but I am not sure where I will get clay inriched soil. Our soil here does not have a lot of clay in it. But seeing my son is showing interest in this I would really like to do something. He doesn't show much interested in things so when he does it is a good thing and I need to expand on it!!
So just wondering if anyone has done it before and if you know something else we could use or where to get clay inriched soil?

Move to Ohio! Our soil has SO MUCH clay in it! We need to add sand so my garden will grow better!

Can you get clay soil from a garden nursery? Not Lowes or Home Depot but a nursery that specializes in plants and soils.

Thats what I was thinking. But I have to find one around here. I know we have to have one, but where I don't know I will look it up. I know there are a couple around my parents house about an hour from us. so I will also check there. Thanks.
Jackie if you want to get rid of any send it this way. LOL
We are thinking maybe making a bird house or feeder for grandpa and something for grandma. The only thing is when it is mixed it is heavy so bird house may not work. We are just trying to think of things we can make on a small and then if that works make something bigger next spring or summer. We watch a neat movie today called Earth Walls. They were building a garden wall. It also talked about adobe house in New Mexico.
