Where do you all buy most of your used curriculum? used will HAVE to be the only way for me to go at least this year, and I was wondering what some good reputable swap or sale boards are?
Great question Tbog. I will be watching to see what others submit. I do know that you can find great bargains and clearance items at http://www.christianbook.com/ In fact, if you are interested in Bible lessons for young ones, here is a SUPER deal. You get 416 pages for $1.99. WOW!!
Great deal. Right now my main concerns are the math books for both my older two. I will definitely be needing the answer keys, and I am having a hard time figuring out what curriculums come with them, and where to find them. Ds 12 is doing the placement test that Saxon has, but when I look for the one he most likely will need (8/7), it doesnt look like it has a answer key.
I really need to watch this. So far I have bought all my stuff new and relied on the local homeschool group. I really like CBD and rainbow resource.
http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/index.php I buy almost all of my used here. I love it over there. They have an awesome swap board. You need to check daily, things go fast and show up just as fast.
I found where Saxon has the Math 8/7 in a kit for $72.99. The Kit includes: Student Textbook with 120 daily lessons, 12 investigations, an illustrated glossary and supplemental practice in a brand new two-color format. Tests and Worksheets Booklet with testing schedule and 23 cumulative tests, facts practice tests, and activity sheets. Solutions Manual with full step-by-step solutions to all lesson and investigation problems, solutions to the 23 tests, and answers to supplemental practice problems and facts practice problems. http://www.christianbook.com/Christ...=333085&event=ESRCN&item_code=WW&view=details Is this the Solutions Manual that you need? I will keep my eyes and ears open for used copies and let you know if I find something.

I have tried a few of these myself. Just becareful who you trade with make sure they have traded with others before most of the sites will have some kind of "Good standing" list. If you ever want to find these again instead of looking for this thread again its on my website under Frugal Homeschooling. Hope you find what your looking for... homeschool classifieds is my favorite. Yes, Saxon 8/7 does have an answer book. I would guess you can buy a complete set (student book, answer book, test book) for about $30 used.
I was looking through one of the links that ranchermom posted. I found one for $14. Look under Math / Critical Thinking. Check it out here... http://www.vegsource.com/homeschool/fs36/messages/83326.html
I forgot to add "Thank you" to Ranchermom for introducing those swab boards and used book sites. Wonderful info.
Thanks--I looked over there and saw that after someone linked to there. I have been in touch with one of them and will most likely be buying from her. Ds took their placement test and looks like he would be best with 8/7 this year.
Thanks a bunch--$14 sounds even better. You ladies rock. I knew there was a reason why this forum is now becoming one of the first places I go to when I get online.
Actually, unless I am seeing something different, its just the Solutions Manual---which I am guessing is the answer key. Thanks for looking though!
Bummer! I didn't read close enough. I am so sorry. I was trying....guess that shows I need attention to detail lessons. ha ha ha
I also have had great luck on vegsource.com and homeschoolclassified.com I have never bought on Welltrainedmind.com because you have to have a certain amount of "posts" to buy. I am a lurker and a buyer not a talker..
