UGH! My funky Monday started at 11:30 last night....dd came into our room an informed us that she had an earache, so 20 minutes later I get her medicated and back to bed and dh and I drift off....again. And this is where my funky Monday started.... 12:30 AM.......after we fall back asleep the phone rings, dh is on call and someone needs a ton of diving equipment. 12:40AM.........dh leaves in the THICK fog for the 35 minute drive to work.....in the meantime, I somehow doze off.... 1:45AM.........the answering service calls again, I am so dioriented I have no clue what I told them:shock: 30 seconds later.......I come to my senses and freak thinking dh didnt make to work, called dh, and he was ok and I doze back off..... 2:50AM poor dh gets back home 6:00AM I wake up and get dh lunch together 6:45AM the kiddo I sit for arrives 7-12 I try to function somewhat and try to keep my eyes open 12:30pm dd informes me her ear still hurts 12:31 call dd dr and find out that they take a 2 hour lunch! 2:04 call office and they say to come NOW bc they are booked for the afternoon... 2:30 arrive and WAIT for an HOUR to be seen 3:30 dr comes in exam room 30 seconds later tells me dd has swimmers ear:| 30 seconds after that we leave to fill the meds 3:35 arrive at the pharmacy at walfart and are told that it will take an hour to put a sticker on a box of eardrops 4:00 determined and being driven to lunacy I get in the pick up line for the meds 4:30 finally make it to the counter and get meds from a girl moving sooooooo slow that I am convinced that she has been sedated or shot with a poisoned blow dart... 4:50 make it home in time for kiddo to be picked up 4:51 put my hand on the doorknob and it comes off!!! 5 seconds later, I call my mil to come to the rescue..(Bless her!) and to fill in the cracks in my day I also had doggy poop tracked thru my living room, a full cup of juice spilled 1.5 seconds after I poured it & bathtowel fall into the toilet and it has been raining. That is not a problem if you dont live in the middle of sugarcane fields where the tractors are hauling....Translation, every road and car is covered in mud and you cant get out of your vehicle without mud gettin on your legs....good times.... So right now I am kinda enjoying the quiet and fighting off the urge to go hide under my bed. Night night girls!
Sorry to hear that you had such a crappy day ( quite literally) BUT also a big thanks for making me laugh!
I am so sorry you had such a lousy day. If you ever need to make extra money you should try writing a comedy for tv about that day. I laughed so hard Babyboy came over to see what I was doing. Hope today is better. Beth
Shawna, I have to agree with Beth, that was a good laugh. thanks for letting my Tuesday morning start out with a good laugh. I know it doesn't sound funny to you... but it sounds like a normal day here. Anyway I hope dd is feeling better and you all have a much better day today.
Thanks for the support gals! Now that I look back and read it it is pretty darn funny! LOL! I am just so happy that dh is off of call for the next few weeks so we dont have to worry about middle of the night phone calls! The poor answering service lady! I think I told her something about voice mail, a coffee table with bannanas on top..... I was sleeping sooo hard it is a wonder I managed to pick up the phone! When the initial call came in, dh and I looked like to spiders having seizures trying to answer the phone!! LOL!!!
Thanks... I really needed a laugh. really really really. I especially like the seizing spiders. (and your heart is going a million miles an hour.)
