Well, I'm one of the more vocal anti-vaccines, but I've not heard THAT arguement! Yep, I'm in agreement with Jen on this!

Remember, you oldies like me, when people used to say, "It's a Communist plot!" about everything? Sounds like the same saying, just different words.

Well ladies I agree with Amy 100 percent if you ever had anyone you loved alot, you would agree to give a shot if you been through it with another love one.
I see on here alot of you ladies didn't do the chicken pox shot I did, I had no choice my dh was going through cancer and chemo. and the girls hadn't had the chicken pox yet and my dh never had them so they said for my dh health I needed to give the girls shot so he doesn't get them or he wouldn't make it. I did it yes, I did it, I wanted my dh around. So, I agree with Amy I might have to give the girls the shot as cancer runs in the family.

"Vaccine" is a dirty word at our house. The plain ole' regular shots apparently triggered Tourette Syndrome in our older beloved son, and, believe me, there is nothing--NOTHING--about any of the diseases that purportedly could have been prevented by those vaccinations that could have come close to the misery which the side effects caused!

Some research points to the effects of vaccinations as responsible for the surge in hyperactivity and autism within the last generation. Some documented actions by those who have mandated vaccinations show sinister intents. Vaccinations--Deception and Tragedy, The Truth About Vaccines and the Dangers They Pose, by Michael Dye, 1999 is an eye-opening book on the subject.

We have friends whose baby son died from the side effects. SID (Sudden infant deaths) due to vaccines are much more common than is admitted. I have to resist the urge to spit when I hear this topic discussed. It may not be a "moral" issue to me--or it might be. It certainly is an emotional issue! I will probably have to wait until heaven to see the son my beloved one was created to be.

And I'm so far from perfect on this topic, that there ain't much hope for me!

Kris, I see I was writing when you posted. I in no way condemn, look down on, think less of, or disrespect any one else's thoughts or convictions or reasons on this thread. Especially you, because you chose what you did out of LOVE and concern in the face of a real and immediate crisis. You did exactly the right thing, and you made the right choice for your family. You had your reasons, and you believe strongly in them. I know very well why I believe strongly--it's that our family was that "2%" or whatever that gets the reactions when they might be benificial for everyone else. So, my post was clearly and purely a vent--not applicable to anyone else. Please no one take it that way. It's something God and I work on quite regularly. It's between Him and me, OK?

I'm wishing I wouldn't have posted the previous post. It's an involuntary reaction with me. "Sorry, I hate vaccinations. Nothing about anything anyone said...

Or, as Clinton so often claimed, "A right-wing Conspiracy!!!"

Prarie, I can understand your strong feelings. I think I'd be the same way if I'd been through what you've been through!

Exactly! Can everyone here agree it is up to the parents to decide if their children should get the shot or not? I do vacinate my children and they both got the chicken pox vacine but they won't be getting this one until more is known about it. I think every family has to make that decision for themselves no matter the opinion of anyone else.

I guess this would be a good time to ask anyone who cares to, to pray for me. I'm just hurting so badly for our son and for the damge he has done to other people we love. I know, it would be so convenient if we could just blame it all on vaccinations. We can't. I know that. But still, they were the cause of a lot of dysfunction. The topic ripped off a scab from a sore that may never heal on earth. 'Sorry to have to bleed all over you dear ones....

Praire home, we prayed for you and your family. It's ok to say whats on your mind, don't feel bad. We all have said things before that others don't like, but we are friends and got through it. By saying what you did wouldn't change my feeling for you. So dear friend, remember we care for you and will be here for you. I hope and pray things get better for you and your family.

I'll be happy to pray!!! See my verse below. I wish my sweet dd9 could sing it to you! Someone put beautiful music to this verse, and dd has such a sweet voice! At any rate, it's a beautiful promise for you Prairie! Know you're loved and prayed for!

Thank you, Kris and Deena and others. The rest of the family is away, and so I'm home and can weep without embarrassment and pray. I feel surrounded by your love. I'll get off the forum now and turn to John 14 and allow the Lord to comfort me some more. You all are really special to me!
