I've decided to abandon Spanish with my dd16 and do German. Then I'll put two years of German on her transcript and totally ignore the two years of Spanish that I don't think were up to my standards. We've used Rosetta Stone for Spanish with my two older children, but this past year, Rosetta Stone became non-compatible with my computer. I don't want to buy a whole new Rosetta Stone program because of the cost. I'm familiar with DuoLingo, and I like it, but I feel like I need to supplement it with something else. Anyone have any suggestions for cheap foreign language resources? TIA
You may be able to run rosetta on the new operating system. There are compatibility settings that tell the operating system to set up an environment like a previous version of windows when executing an old program so it will be compatible. There is a program called Rocket that gets reasonable reviews.
Look for a used beginning college textbook with audio cds. They update college textbooks quite often so you can get an older edition at a great price.
