My favorite Christmas recipe is Spanakopita. What is you favorite Christmas recipe ? I'd like to plan a new menu for Christmas before it gets really busy. Thanks!

Tamales are a family tradition. I used to use my moms recipe. I have since changed the recipe around by using different chilies as well as how I prepare the sauce.

    Favorite Christmas recipes? Hmmmmm....

I have a few. Cornbread Cranberry Sausage Stuffing (my own creation that has become a family tradition for us). For the last two years I had to make it gluten-free so I made it completely from scratch!

Favorite desserts? Has to be my husband's step mother's Pumpkin Squares.

Also, Christmas cookie baking is my favorite - we make:

    7 layer bars
    Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
    Ultimate Snickerdoodles
    Chocolate Chip Cookies
Monster Cookies (also known as Everything but the Kitchen Sink Cookies b/c they have so many things in them!)

Another favorite tradition is having people over for breakfast Christmas morning where we have my husbands awesome Blintzes with homemade strawberry syrup and quiche. :D

    Gosh....gotta start my planning! :D

Yes yes it would be much fun! We could start with A and do one letter a week or two weeks and when it's all done somone could type it all up into one file and maybe add clip art and such and we could each print a copy and have it spiral bound!!!!! I would be willing to type it all up into one file so it can be easily printed!

I think we should all pick maybe our 5 most favorite recipes and submit to whoever coordinates in a .doc format maybe? That way we could put it all into one document. I love the idea of adding pictures or something!

Maybe even have a "kid friendly" section?

    I can help too....any way! :D

Maybe we need to start a new thread each month, and each thread have a theme. Like all apple recipes, or all cookie recipes, etc.

Or maybe instead of a thread ...

Is it possible for the Admin. to add a Forum Section called Recipes; in addition to the General House and Home Section we now have?

I did the recipe book on another site for Christmas last year, someone did all the copy and sent us all a book for a fee of 5 dollars, its a wonderful book.

I think the idea of a sub-board is a great idea. Then, if we did a thread on a particular thing like SOUPS, it would be easy to find all the soup recipes in one place on that sub-board.

I love this idea! I wouldn't mind putting together the cook book or helping coordinate it!

I LOVE this idea!!! I'm not a very creative cook and tend to get stuck making the same things over and over again. I'd LOVE some new recipes!

So would people rather have a board or a cookbook? ANd if you want a cookbook would you rather have a real one that someone could compile and send to everyone for a small cost or a digital one that you could download to your computer?

I'd rather have a cookbook, either real or digital that I could print out and have in my kitchen. Things get lost too easily on boards as new subjects get posted.

Any thought? I'm willing to coordinate this if enough people are interested.

I'd prefer a hard copy, and would be willing to pay about $5 for one. Though it might cost more than that.

Could collect, add pix and give everyone the file and then let themdo with as they will.

You could get it and put it in a format for Walmart to print out a book.

Or send to staples or soemthing like that.

I'd LOVE to have Pix....I think that would be neat!

I'm happy to help in any way shape or form! :D

I too would prefer a hard copy either file or print. I would be willing to compile and either email to everyone or take it to have it printed.
