I recently discovered 2 writing assignments that you all might be interested in. They are both contest. If you enter, there are prizes. If you choose not to enter the contest, your kids might just enjoy the writing. One is on www.hollyhobbie.com. You write about your best friend and what makes him/her special etc. My dd is excited to try this about her cousin. Second, we were dining at Olive Garden las night and they have a contest where you write about "If you could create a new holiday, what would you name it and how would it be celebrated?"
