How many credits will you require for your high schooler?
I think I have settled on 24... but still not entirely sure.

    Eng. 4
    Hist. 4
    Math 4
    Foreign lang. 2
    music 2
    Science 3
    PE 1
    Electives 4

    That is 24... right?

I think our state changed their requirements to 22 for children graduating 2010 and after? But some of the colleges nearby want 24. I just try to watch the state requirements and stick near them so college entrance is easier for my dd.

We are required to do the following

    Grades 9-12 Units***
    English 4
    Social Studies
    Unit American History 1
    Unit Gov.Participation 1/2
    Unit Economics 1/2
    Electives in SocialStudies 2
    Science 2
    Mathematics 2
    Physical Education 2
    Health Education 1/2
    Art/Music 1
    Electives 3

Sd will have quite a few more than this when she is done. She will be doing 5 math courses, min of 4 science, plus she has done Spanish 2 and Introduction to Sign Language (this year). I also think we are doing home ecconomics next year. She will hopefully be participating a program which alows high school kids to take class at a couple of local colleges for free. Those will go on her transcript too.

My husband's school district requires 21, so that's roughly what I will be doing. I have a paper broken down tht he brought home from his school's guidance counselor; I thought I had it in a folder labeled "Rachael's Transcripts", but I don't. Which means it's buried somewhere, just waiting for me to either accidently throw it away, or accidently stumble across it! I wanted it as a guide.
