Oh good! =) I still need a LA program (prefer an all-in-one curriculum) and Bible. I'm looking at BJU and SOS for Bible but would love opinions! (reminder it's for an 8th grader). Is CLE good for just LA? I'll check them out. Thanks.

Oh no! CLE is excellent in LA, math, Bible, Reading....
Really a fabulous program. Just open and go, too, without a lot of teacher prep.

Awesome, I've been looking at it over the last hour and was just about ready to settle on it for LA. I might still spring for SoS for Bible because I thought having it on the computer might make it more "official". It seems that studying the Bible is an easy one to get tossed to the back burner or just not taken as seriously as math and science, academically speaking. I thought the computer would break things up, plus it would give me the basic structure of the program and I could add in my other curriculums myself to track, couldn't I? I'm not sure.

I just posted a new thread today asking for input on what else I need. I'd love it if you guys from this thread could take a look! thanks. =)

At 8th grade level, CLE Bible and Lifepacs Bible is pretty much the same thing. Lifepacs have more color, but CLE is less expensive by more than a dollar per unit. I also vote for CLE LA.

Yay! Sounds perfect for LA! I'm also considering SoS for Bible to see if it's taken more seriously and to break up the paper routine. Also thinking it would give me the backbone program and allow me to keep records of all our classes if I input them as custom, is that correct? Anyone know?

Is SoS the same curric as Lifepacs/CLE? I seem to remember them being different when I looked last week. If they are, does anyone have opinions on the differences and on my reasoning? I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost.

I haven't actually used SOS, but when they were making it (I used to use Lifepacs), they advertised it as Lifepacs on computer. Since then, however, I understand they've tweaked the science quite a bit, but I don't know how much they may have tweaked the Bible.
