Hi! I wanted to ask if anyone has ever attended a Curriculum Conference? The one I plan to attend is an Abeka conference. I was wondering what I can expect to find when I get there....like tables of curriculum to purchase, discounted or % off incentives to buy on the same day, etc. Do they have speakers or just representatives available to answer questions, etc.? Any helpful tidbits before I go is greatly appreciated. Thank you. :D

I haven't been to an Abeka only one at the local hotel but I have been to an expo with several vendors (including Abeka).

Generally, vendors give you free shipping if you order at the conference and some % off. Not sure what Abeka offers percentage wise but I do know they do free shipping and a discount of about $100 if you enroll in the DVD Academy option.

There website might give you more specifics (or someone else will probably chime in). I know I got Horizons Math recently thru a conference, saved 20% which was cheaper than Rainbow Resource prices and got free shipping.....that was nice!

    Have fun!

I went to an A Beka one at a nearby hotel a LONG time ago. It was tables set up with the curriculum and a guy did a little intro thing, then everyone looked around at the stuff. They're nice for seeing inside the books while actually holding them in your hands! They gave free shipping, and that's all the discount I remember.
