December is right around the corner! Time for all sorts of fun projects in our "school!"

Last year our math class consisted of building Gingerbread Houses. The kids had to plot, plan, measure, build models, engineer, design, and build a gingerbread house. We used the graph paper to plot everything out, cut the shapes, see if our design was going to be structurally sound, and then use the templates as guides to cut the dough.

Do others take time in December to do more "fun" projects for school?? What are they? I'm looking for ideas!

I love that idea. We have a craft tree up for the kids to decorate with ornaments throughout the month for art class :) I got them into crochet to learn how to make garlands for the tree as well. I haven't even had time yet to formulate next month lol. I am looking at making a Christmas lapbook up to cover symbolism, meaning of and so on. Abd if ciyrse we do a lot of baking which covers math and fractions as well.

I would love to do some special things. I just have a hard time sitting down and planning stuff. It is so much easier to just keep going on to the next math lesson

I really want to do a Christmas around the world project. We'll see if it happens.
