I'm trying to devise a schedule for testing on a delayed schedule to prevent my students learning "for the test"

I'm not sure if delayed testing is the correct term for this...

For example, I'd like to put 4-6 weeks between giving a lesson and actually testing it. I might do informal quizzes 1/2 way between the lesson and the test just to see if I need to present the lesson again.

That way my students have the opportunity to really cement what they've learned and aren't just skating by or studying for the test.

ideally this schedule would be used for ANY concept.

Is there a form or something out there that I can print out and use for my own purposes for this? To help me keep track of when to test based on when a lesson was presented etc?

I don't know of a form... so I'm not helpful on that part.

However, I like the idea. I've found that the math reviews we do at the end of each unit go all the way back to the begining of the half-year each time. That's when I'm able to catch if he has forgotten something that we need to work on some more.
