Is there a site for books like pluggedinonline.com for movies? I'm not sure where to look to find out what the age appropriateness of books are. My dd is reading 6th/7th grade level books in a day or so and she's in 4th....I'm kind of afraid to move up in books for fear of the content

If you go onto Barnes and Noble, click on the book you want to look at, usually it has an average age or grade level.

Thats good to know. I'm always looking at Amazon for reading level but not all have it.

What I was looking for specifically though are sites that tell you what the content is like. With that site for movies, they tell you if there was cursing, violence, drug reference, references to God (pos or neg), sexual content, etc. It would be great to have a resource like that for books.

I found this, very in depth. They also review movies.
It is a paid site ( $9.95 a year for homeschoolers).
They give sample reviews on their home page ,just scroll down some.
They give 2 free reviews , one on a book that's good , one that they recommend to stay away from.

I have a book called Best Books for kindergarten thru high school. You might be able to find that at your local library or bookstore. It is a great reference.
