The Rainbow Resource catalog came in today (WOOOHOO!!) and I was looking through it for a devotion book for my boys (7, 5 and 3 yrs). I want something short and sweet that I can read to them and we can talk about while they are eating breakfast. Try to get the day off to the right start. The only promising book I found was 'Gotta Have God Devotions for Boys'. Has anyone used this/know anything about it? BTW... how unfair is it that there are 10 devotion books for girls and only 3 for boys, and 2 of those are Gotta Have God.:lol: Thanks Lisa
Hi Lisa, I have used the Gotta Have God for Girls and my children enjoyed that nicely. Even if we didn't do the activity or project associated with each lesson, we had practical things to discuss and problem solve. I have one for my son also but haven't started devotions with him yet as he is only 3. I read to my son every night before bed, what great motivation to start reading out of our devotion book for boys. It is marked ages 2-5 (I think). I will certainly pass along any ideas or books as I come across them and will let you know how we do with the Gotta Have God for Boys series. ~Nicole~
We have enjoyed The Explorer's Bible Study. This year we did the Old Testament, next year we'll do the New Testament.
