Borders, Barnes & Noble and Waldenbooks all extend there educators discounts to homeschooling families???
It is pretty much a 20% discount at each of them...15% on DVDs at Barnes & Noble...
I was totally unaware of this...now I am just adding up all of the money I could have saved on the things that I bought for this year if I had only known.....

I use my Barnes & Noble discount all the time. Even better, from October 15-23 they have an educators' week when the discount goes to 25% on all items purchased for educational purposes. I've been keeping a list of items in my purse!!

Thanks for the info...that can really add up quickly considering how much I spend on books. I have a wish list for the rest of this school year and I am eyeing up some books to help get me ready for next year (in case I write my own curriculum again) so I will definately be checking out the extra savings during the special days!

every where you go ask if they give a teacher discount. Craft stores like Jo-anns does too. some second hand bookstore might if you ask. Even Good Will might if you are buying a bunch of books. For the Jo-Anns I was told to sign up on line for it.

Heather, do they have a Half-Price Books near you? They also give discount cards to teachers and homeschoolers.

Staples will do the same thing (it is every $100 I believe...) but I don't know, staples is always so expensive it seems...or maybe that is just me...
Now if I could only get a discount at WalMart (I know, I am awful, but I LOVE saving money!)

JoAnn's Fabric stores & Hastings (another book store) give discounts to educators. I didn't see them mentioned above. Sign me up for the Wal-mart disocunt. ;)
