First of all, I would not speculate or assume what happened. There are always two sides to every story, you never know what goes on behind closed doors, and I wouldn't even give two cents to "research". Every relationship is different, and only they and God know the whole story. I really wouldn't give this a lot of thought...I mean, it's Facebook...it's not like they live next door to you. I would remain civil to both and let the cards fall where they may. I would not go out of my way for them but I would certainly be there if they needed comfort or neutral support and that's really it. If it were someone I was very close with, that'd be a little different.
