do you lapbook?

    Do you lapbook? I think it's a really cool approach to learning. We made one a few months ago and added to it yesterday. at this point it is just motivation to work on tyler's cutting and gluing skills, and yesterday he did learn what a prarie dog is (it's just a folder of animals cut from magazines and brochures). I was so impressed with how his cutting skills have improved in the last however many months since last time we worked on it!

    I'm wondering how fancy you get with preschool lapbooks? matting the pics? etc.

    With lapbooking, you can get as fancy as you want. I have seen some lapbooks that have a lot of information in them and a section for a book report and so forth. How fancy you get will depend on the age of the child.
