Not as part of school no. I try to get away from "school" type things.

I was thinking about adding it in. But I am terrible at doing things on a schedule and daily basis.

I might wait and add it in when we do our theme on the US during the election

We did last year, I just forgot about it for this year. We pray and read the Bible instead.

    No, but then I'm Canadian.:)

I also think saying a pledge is weird, but then I'm Canadian. :D

For us the pledge is so much more than just "school". I guess since I have had many family members fight in wars and I have a lot of family, blood and church, in our current war, I find it an honor to solute our country. Part of me feels like I am soluting them for a job well done and for making it possible for me to pray and solute the flag. I guess it is the stories I have heard from my family who have fought the battles.
I was blown away when I realized my daughter, middle, didn't know the pledge. She was never taught in school and she was already in 5th or 6th grade. I made sure that Ems knew it and says it. America is a far from perfect country but I am still proud to be an American and to solute her flag. I am not saying that you all aren't proud Americans because you might choose not to solute the flag. This is why we do it.:D
