I was thinking about adding it in. But I am terrible at doing things on a schedule and daily basis. I might wait and add it in when we do our theme on the US during the election
For us the pledge is so much more than just "school". I guess since I have had many family members fight in wars and I have a lot of family, blood and church, in our current war, I find it an honor to solute our country. Part of me feels like I am soluting them for a job well done and for making it possible for me to pray and solute the flag. I guess it is the stories I have heard from my family who have fought the battles. I was blown away when I realized my daughter, middle, didn't know the pledge. She was never taught in school and she was already in 5th or 6th grade. I made sure that Ems knew it and says it. America is a far from perfect country but I am still proud to be an American and to solute her flag. I am not saying that you all aren't proud Americans because you might choose not to solute the flag. This is why we do it.
