My ds8 races motocross and he is doing the Nationals. Well, this weekend is Round #3 for him and it's in Danville, VA. I decided to stay home this time because it was such a long haul with the kids in the truck. DH said it took almost 15 hours to get there. So it was just my DH, DS and my father-n-law. Today is just practice there. Everyone gets 3 different practices throughout the day to learn the track. Then they race on Saturday and Sunday and combine your scores for your overall placing. Well, they don't get cell phone service where they are at, dh said they are down between the mountains. This really stinks because I hate not being there and then them not being able to keep me updated!! Well, DH calls me tonight and says DS8 blew his motor on practice 3 today!! He says they are going to try and rebuild it tonight, if not 2 other riders have offered up their spare motors. So if you could all keep them in your prayers that they did not drive 15 hours and not be able to finish the race! Here is a cute picture of him at Round #1 where he took first in Pell City, AL. That place was beautiful!!
Awesome! My boys love riding their dirt bikes (11 yr old has a 125 and the 3 yr old has a 50). Also my 3 yr old is getting a 80 4 wheeler in a couple weeks. He is so excited! We sure wish we had something like that around here. I bet you all have so much fun!
Danville is only about two hours from us. I hope they were able to fix the motor for him. He is so cute! Beth
What's the trophy for? Phillip is now asking how HE can do it. (I think he especially liked the one that looks like it's in the air!)
That trophy is one he won last summer. He is now the state champion for Indiana and is going for the National title. It puts us in a different state every other weekend. It is a 10 round series and then they combine your scores for the winner. It really is a lot of fun, but the price of diesel right now is killing us with all the traveling.
