I just wanted to share with you guys. My daughter has just finished a 4 week Easter unit by Amanda Bennett. This unit was her first real look at the true Easter story and I am so glad that we did this. She has learned the story of Jesus from his birth to his resurrection including scripture, words of wisdom and important people. We has a great time and it has warmed my heart to watch her learn and wonder and learn some more.
This week she is concentrating on writing a biography of Mary Magdalane, making a timeline of Jesus' life and turning a white bedsheet into a family heirloom Easter tablecloth that will grace our Easter dinner table for years to come.
Watching her fill with the love of Jesus through learning about his sacrefice has been a glorious thing to watch. Sitting in a farmer's field at 5:45 on Easter morning for her first sunrise service, (and mine as well) will mean so much to us this year. She is looking forward to that this year like she looked forward to the Easter Bunny's visit of years past.
Thank you for letting me share. I feel so blessed.
