has anyone used the Adventures of the Human Body (PS/LE) set from Ten Terrific Weeks from Usborne Books? if so tell me what you liked/disliked and what ages you used it for.

anyone have the First Encyclopedia of the Human Body and liked it?

anyone use any of the Discovery Natures series from Usborne.... how did you use it?

anyone use any other anatomy curriculum for gr k-4 they would recommend?

    thanks moms

I haven't used much of anything to learn about the body. I keep saying I am going to get something and am looking forward to see Aplogia's Human Anatomy book that comes out this year.
As of right now they have learned about their bodies by everyday life. Friends having babies, having allergies or some disorder/disease. They learn to healthy living and how eating healty helps you body thru daddy being in charge of fitness at work. Already had the talk about femal needs because of walking down the isle with the kids. Nothing like Female Needs 101 at Wal-mart when you are in a hurry and really don't want to discuss that in the store but the kids don't understand why they cannot talk about that in the store.
Someday in the not so far off future I will do more formal work with my oldest but we haven't gotten that far yet.

We're going to use Apologia's new elementary Anatomy book next fall as well (can't wait).

We also have several Human Body books with diagrams, etc. I'm excited to keep my kids together for science for one more year before the oldest does Apologia General Science, etc.

I had a great little Teacher Book that went over the body systems. And you added them to a full-size body of the child. And the reproductive system was done in such a way that you could decide not to add it if you wanted, and it wouldn't matter. I think I sent it to Becky. My kids learned a lot from it!

The Body Book - I've seen, but not used. A friend of mine used that this year and she said it's great. :D

Ok my brain just went blank. I looked at a book at the circ fair last year. It had directions to build a "body" out of panyhose that was the size of your child. Then you added in the insides as you learned about them. I am wanting to say itwas with rod and staff, or maybe something that started with an A.. Ok no help sorry.
Did you check out coloradomom's stuff? I don't remeber if she has something for the youngers right now or not.

RS4K doesn't have one unless they've added it in the last year. I know they didn't have one last year when I ordered Chem 1 and Physics 1
