My 9 yr old wants to publish a book. She has about 5 notebooks with random stories she has written. She also has 4 powerpoint files with different stories. I want her to put all her ideas together and stick to writing one. Does anyone know of any resources that i could go to to help me strenghthen this dream of hers or any ideas? Im pretty clueless on how to encourage and direct her ideas in the right direction. Thanks!

I don't see anything wrong with making a collection of short stories, and publishing some of them AS a collection.

There is a curriculum for writing a novel in one year. It holds your hand through the year, and when you're done, you have written a novel. I can't remember the specific name of it....

I've looked into the program Lindina mentioned. It's more for older kids; I'm not sure you could adapt it to a 9yo. You get it as a SITE LICENSE, which means you cannot sell it when you're done. It really did look interesting, but it wasn't what I was looking for.
