Ever heard of getworksheets.com? I am thinking about getting this because for some reason DS likes worksheets. I get tired of making and searching for free resources sometimes. I have a ton of free places that I know of but they are all spread out. I would like to be able to get everything from one or two sites in addition to our curr and call it a day. It's $29.99 a year for the membership. I was just wondering if anyone uses them or has heard anything about them. $29.99 is a lot of money (for me) but I'll pay for anything educational if it's worth it. Anyone?
Nope. I have teacherfilebox.com and abcteach.com memberships that I bought through HSBC in Feb... I love both of those.
No. Generally, I don't pay for worksheets. Though I did make an exception this year and joined Enchanted Learning, because I've used their free stuff before, and I know I would want them for the science class I'm teaching to Phillip and two of his friends.
Just my opinion, but really, I don't think the pay sites are any easier to navigate than the free ones. I used abcteach all the time, so when I could get a membership for 20 bucks I jumped on it, because they offer sooooo much more to their members. Teacherfilebox is pretty close to all (if not all) of Evan Moor's products (think History Pockets!), so to me it's worth the 60 a year it costs through HSBC.
Yeah, I normally use free sites too and make my own, but this place has a lot to offer. It's not the navigation it's the time it takes to pull from all the different places. In the past I didn't use worksheets that much but DS said he learns more by reading and answering questions , also hands on activities. Because of this I find myself using them more and more. Even though I have a membership, Enchanted Learning doesn't always have what I need. Also a lot of their stuff seems geared towards younger kids or DS already knows. Teacherfilebox looks interesting, but so does the site I mentioned. I'll have to compare the two sites and make a decision. Thank for all you help.
I will throw another at you to look at because it's pretty good too.. www.teachervision.com But again.. using these member sites, really doesn't save me time, esp when I have favs I go to for free things for specific subjects.
I love Teacherfilebox!!!! You can do a monthly subscription, which is what I do. What all are you looking for? Just a little of everything?
JoAnna We are all over the place really. I just need worksheets to work with whatever we are learning at the time. (We learn a lot by reading) Or vise versa. I can easily design an entire lesson around a worksheet. So I guess whatever. Teacherfilebox looks very similar to the first site I mentioned. Either one would probably work. I am still checking it out. Sommer Teachervision is irritating to me because they won’t let me look at a thumbnails of the worksheets without joining. They let me peak at 3 full size printables and then they told me I had to buy to see more. I didn't even print anything. $49.95 is a lot of money to spend if I can’t see what I’m buying. I would pay if I could see more detail.
I had a membership last year. I didn't renew, and now I get emails telling me I can't use the materials I might have on hand because I don't have copy rights. I'm warned to throw them out and delete any I have on my computer. I won't deal with them anymore. Teachervision-now that's a terrific one!
