How long does it take your child to finish those three books? I just got it in the mail on Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon DD1 already finished the first letter (which is 12 pages). She just seems to love doing workbooks. She already finished all the R&S preschool books (Abc readiness + GH, also the other set of 4, forget what they are called) which took her about 2 months. We usually sit down in the afternoon, once DD2 is in bed. And then she just likes to sit all afternoon and do "school". I should also mention that I never force her to do her workbooks, we only pull them out when she asks for them.

I think it varies. In the early years, I like to allow my kids to do as much or as little as they want. Sometimes we do 1 page, and sometimes we do 15. I just started the ABC series with my little guy (I did books 3-8 with the older one a couple of years ago, and that took 1 semester to finish... because he LOVED it and would do them all the time with or without my help). I figure we'll finish it by Fall, but if we finish this May or next, that won't bother me, either. The little one isn't nearly as motivated as the older one was. It's just not his personality.

Yeah, she's only 3 1/2 (4 in summer), so I definitely don't push at all. Once she is 5 or 6 I think we'll have more of a set school time. I totally thought those 12 books from R&S would last a good long time, and here we are 2 months later, lol. And I'm still trying to decide if I want to do CLE learning to read, or ETC.
