My DH is making an emergency trip back to Canada Weds. His dad had a heart attack and has several blockages, one critical. His dementia and that makes him a bad candidate for surgery. A specialist will be seeing him tomorrow. The worst is he is not a Christian. None of DH family are, nor have they been receptive in the past. Maybe now ? Hearts are heavy around here tonight.:cry:
Thank you !!! The sibs of my Father in law are believers. One is a pastor and my Father in law asked him to come to and speak with him before he needed to sigh any Do-not-reseserate type forms. Father in law has times where his mind is clear and to speak with him you would't know anything was wrong. The pastor (his brother) was going to the hosp tonight. I haven't heard how it went yet. I just keep praying for understanding and repentence. The family will have a meeting Wends to hear what the specialest has to say. DH won't arrive there in time for it. Please cont to pray for the salvation of the whole family, and for me and the boys while DH is away. Just normal day to day here in Mexico can be a real adventure (unusual challanges). HI All, Dh left this morning at 5 am and arrived at his destination this evening. Got an e mail from Uncle/Pastor; ((All the way to *******, I'm thinking about the scripture from Hebrews, the men & women of faith chapter - "they all died not having received the promise" but they were confident God would do as He promised. Well Grandpa's Faith was rewarded last night. Years after the promise - but a sure promise. *Aunti* & I went in and immediately your Dad said, "I've got to make it right with God". I waited over 30 years to do this. He was clear, knowledgeable, ready and willing. We had him repeat the sinners prayer with us, then prayed for him and spoke of the assurance in Christ. What rejoicing in the rest of the Uncles as we later shared his confession of Faith. The psychiatrist came in while* Aunti* & I were there and your Dad answered most of the 30 or 40 questions quite well. I'm still wondering if some of the confusion is drug induced. God bless you as you fly. Uncle J))) Haven't heard news of the specialists report but we are TOTALLY rejoicing for Father in Laws salvation. Now I'm praying for the rest of the clans salvation. DH is scheduled to come home next Wednesday, but who knows. Thank you Thank you for you cont. prayer. God IS SOOOOOO GOOD ! You could say I'm..Singing Strong !
