I am curious what some of your favorite planners are? I am interested in something online or a program that will keep track of attendance etc… as well as a physical planner for myself and for my kiddos (my high schooler in particular). Suggestions?
Well. I go back and forth on this! LOL I love planners, but I don't do well keeping up with them! I use my own Word Table Creation as a daily planner for my kids. I use a day check off log from donnayoung.org for them to track their "days". I also have a generic calendar week/monthly for everything else. Each kid has their own color pen so all of their things are coded in that color. That way when I look at each day with blurry morning eyes, I know who has something that day. I get this planner from Walmart - it's cheap. Willing to show you/send you my word doc if you like...pm me your email address.
I used a Well planned day for the last two years. I used it for HS and as my regular calendar. I liked it! I worked very well for me. (I had 4 the year before last and three part of the year this year.) But when I went to purchase a new 2014-2015 planner, the price had gone up. So I look around and went with the Simple Planner. (talked about in this thread: http://www.homeschoolspot.com/showthread.php?t=33929 ) When I looked at their website, this planner had some stuff I liked. Brand new for this year was reinforced monthly tabs. (I'm always looking for the monthly tabs in my current planner.) I haven't received it yet, but it has been mailed. I thought about making my own planner, but I figured with time, energy and ink, 30.00 shipped is a bargain. I had the kids use Homeschool Skedtrack and it was working well. (Until the great meltdown :roll I didn't bother with my 2 littles, I keep up with their work.
i just use a spiral notebook for schoolwork. Mostly I write down what was done rather than what to do.
I used the Well Planned Day written planner and I use Homeschool Tracker online for my online lesson plans. I plan my entire year during the summer, and the online planner allows me to move lessons around if needed during the year. On Mondays I print off the weekly report for each child, so they can see what's to be done for that week, and they can make notes and check off things they completed. Then I record their grades online as well. While I plan the entire year online, I only write on my written planner one week out, just in case I need to make changes.
