I rarely order new homeschool books, but when I do... DS can't get his hands on them fast enough. I was excited to get this art book to do projects once a week or so with my two older ones... but yesterday and today DS has been flipping through it, mixing watercolors, making a color wheel, copying the book's project suggestions for primary colors, etc. So none of it is going to be a surprise for him anymore. It's the same with any science book that comes through our door, or any other book for that matter!! I love how he's so anxious to learn, and I don't want to impede that at ALL. And it makes my life easier on days like today when I just feel blah (third trimester). But still, I'd like him to do his learning WITH me from time to time! Hahaha.

LOL, cute! What book did you get? It sounds good!

I told my ds today that I ordered a Makey-Makey last night. His eyes grew wide. Poor boy won't have access to it until the first day of school. I'm betting he will be really looking forward to school starting again.

I don't think it will impede, never douse the fire to learn and work toward interests!

I hide away new homeschool books from my daughter. lol! But she likes being surprised so she has intentionally not touched them. She is excited about all the stuff that the mail carrier has been bringing.

Many families school all year, so your son must be doing this naturally. What a blessing for you!
