I've been looking for a book my dd who is 8 and about to start 3rd grade but has about a 5th grade level. I've been working all summer to find something challenging she would enjoy. I snuck into her room after her bedtime story to see why her light was on. She was curled up on her bed reading her Bible. She read 11 chapters last night of Genesis and is loving the Bible. She has hundreds of other books but that was the one she chose and is really enjoying. It's the Adventure Bible in NIrV so it's in plain English for kids to be able to read and understand.
WOW! can't wait till mine dives into the bible like that I didn't get into reading it till I was closer to 13. Then I LOVED Ruth and Esther most
