I've been helping my mom and aunts help my grandma clean things out of her barn and house. One of my aunts(the baby of the family) we gave a lot of our stuff to for her kids. Her kids are now 6th grade and up and she has been storing them for a lot of years at my grandparents barn. We have been going through them and it's been so exciting to find things that I used to play with when I was younger like little people and such. My mom is collecting things that were my brothers that were favorites of his and cleaning them up to give him for Christmas. Now at 22 he isn't going to play w/ them but my mom's hope is they still have meaning to him when he sees them and maybe his kids can play with them one day. My things I'm cleaning up and giving my daughter for Christmas. She's 7 and LOVES to have things that belonged to reletives. She truly treasures them and shows anyone who walks into our house these things so I know that even though she isn't likely to play with them much when she finds out they were ours/mine(I'm older so my brother got lots of my old toys) she will appreciate them and take care of them. Any future children would also get to play w/ them of course. I've been giving her my old books but the little people I just thought of this today and I can't wait. I'm just so excited to have them back, although not nearly as excited to find they will need a LOT of work since my aunt let her children color all over them and tear up pieces and such but I am fixing it best I can. Magic Erasers work wonders. Any way just wanted to share the excitement of finding my long lost toys:love:
