So I have first language lessons on hand, tried it with my oldest but got bored with it. But I think that it over the Scott Foresman is a better option for my upcoming first grader. My question is do you think that my kindy would be too young to make this a joint thing with the two of them? I know grammar isn't really necessary in kindergarten but the more I can combine some of these kids in to keep all of them simultaneously busy without disrupting other siblings the better. lol

I combine my boys in as much as I can. It's easier for them and for me. They are 2 grades part. They do have separate language arts books and separate math programs though. Their math programs are on the computer, so they are 95% independent with math. But everything else, they can work together on. It's nice that they have a buddy that they can work together with on most things and less lesson planning and less different papers to grade for me.

I have heard of others using FFL1 in K, so if your Ker is ready for it then you can go for it. We tried FLL and it bored me to tears... my kids weren't too impressed either.

I found it boring too but I think that my next two will like it. So I guess I'll have to deal with the boredom.

My gut reaction would be that it'd be too much for the kindy, but 1) I am constantly amazed at how well some younger kids do, and 2) I don't know him and his abilities/personality. So I'd say give it a try and see how it goes. You can always quit. Just keep in mind that you might have to adapt some things for him.

My first reaction is that if your oldest found it boring, and you found it boring, and I found it boring....oh, wait...I guess that doesn't matter. But seriously, I tried it and couldn't stand it. Another option is using something more light and fun...like The Sentence Family.

I changed my mind. I decided to just do the Scott Foresman. I think the first grader will do fine with either and I'm not in a rush to start grammar with my kindy.

I'm not familiar with the Scott Foresman, but it sounds like a good plan.
