I am new to the forum, this is actually just my first time posting but
    I've got a question.

This will be our first year homeschooling and I will be the main "teacher" and our children are in 4th and 2nd grade. We are doing complete curriculum (Lifepac with some supplements for projects and such).

We are also involved in our church where I will be teaching a kids choir on Sunday evenings. Today, an opportunity came up for both my husband and I to team teach a childrens sunday school class. I want to but I'm worried that it might be to much on us as far as teaching and that I might not be able to give one what is needed. Any advice?

One of the reasons for wanting to teach is because we have a large church and it's easy to get lost in it. I truly think that this will be a way for us to meet new people and families in the church and make some friends which is what we don't have now. I know that my kids will need friends (so do my husband and I) as we embark the homeschooling adventure we have signed up for. Obviously that is not our only reason but it is one.

The first thing is to pray about it and see what God would have you do.

Lifepacs are very independent, and really don't take much *teaching* like some other curricula do. It will be you doing the choir and I'm guessing your husband doing at least half the SS teaching. Actually, that sounds quite doable to me.

I can't tell you what to do, so.... pray about it and see what God would have you do.

I would pray about it. Are you suppose to come up with curriculum for the SS class too?

One thing I have thought about is asking if my kids wanted to do activities that involved all of this would I tell them it was to much to take on. If it is then do a double take to see if it really is what is best for your family. If you are over whelmed and not rested HS will not work out so well. :)
