For some Napa kids, school will be a virtual experience

    Instead of heading to a local school in September, Viki Gingery's children will turn on their computers and connect to the Internet inside their rural Napa County home.

    They'll study the world's temperature zones in third-grade science, Viking shipbuilders in second-grade history and Rembrandt's self portrait in kindergarten art -- most of the information coming from a computer screen.
