I have to say, I think I am liking my decision for the school year. I have tried to move my kids in a more litature based learning style. Well lets just say, worked for me but not for them. I finally gave in and went with BJU which we have used here and there. Well this year I bought the whole stinking grade level with DVD's. Pricey..... to say the least. I think its really going to work and i won't have to change anything mid year. All the books are colorful - for some reason my kids really thrive on that. The DVD's are goofy but they sit and watch them like they are watching a movies. Yea.... My sister in law sent them money for school supplies and they bought some paper and pens then went and loaded up on play dough. :shock: Let me remind you they are 12....... When I questioned it they said, "Oh this is for our reading time, when you read to us" WOW..... I guess I am excited because I have depleaded every ounce of funding I have put away for school. The kids are excited and I think it really is going to work and I won't have to replace anything. PRICELESS.......
I'm excited for you! It's great when you find something that works well. I can sure understand about the money, I've had to spend more as my kids have gotten older. It can be hard.
Yeah!! There are so many choices it is great when you find the thing that fits your family. I hope this year is smooth sailing for you....and no more excitement from the kids!
