I know I am asking for a lot but .... I cant afford the cost of education city, but like the way it lays it out in ages, covers the basic subjects and as a parent i can see what dd and ds have been doing and how they have done :)

does anyone know any free sites which my dc can use instead?

Are these like K-12? I guess what I mean is... can we join, I use what I want, and it's just something for us, or is this considered an online public/private school?

The two I posted (at least, last time I checked) are just free sites. They're not tied to PS.

I'm pretty sure all these mentioned are totally free, use-what-you-want, not necessarily complete but very useful, not online schools, kinds of sites.

There's also www.starfall.com for phonics and early stages of reading, which is totally free too. My grandson loves it!
