Hi All! I am going to begin teaching my toddler French this summer. I remember a bit from my High School and College days but not enough. Does anyone have a good reccomendation for a program that I can use to refresh and/or a program for toddlers?

    Thanks! :D

I went to our local library and asked them if they had any dvds that they would recommend. they were able to get me dvds and cds the best thing is I remembered some of it from my highschool classes so I didn't feel totally lost when trying to teach her.

I picked up Muzzy French(for $5, can you believe it?) at a local homeschool expo. I probably would not have spent the original purchase price without seeing it, and honestly, as an adult watching it...I don't get it. But my kids (2, 4, and 6) love it. My DH picked up the 4yo reading French from the screen, my 6yo has come up with tons of new words, and my 2yo thinks the whole thing is hilarious. There are days when my house sounds like some kind of weird game show, with the kids (all three of them) yelling our English and French words at the TV (that's not part of the program, but I figure they're learning, so...)

I second this recommendation. (What a deal, eyeofthestorm! I want to go shopping with you -- you must have bargain sonar!) I checked Muzzy French out from our library. I thought it was an excellent way for kids to learn another language.

My children liked Bilingual Baby and picked some up from it.

Both of those sound really great! Is it worth the $199 for the Muzzy program? Our library doen't carry it.

Also try looking for french programs on craigslist. I found a hook on phonics french program for only $45.
