Hi, my name is Carol, and I'm from NJ. There, I said it.:lol::lol: Our family moved here from CT almost 6 years ago, and I've been somewhat in denial. I confess that I told my husband that I would be willing to follow him to any of the 50 states, with the exception of NJ. God must have a sense of humor. He's certainly stretching me. LOL Actually, once I opened up and said, I'll go where you want me to go, He has blessed us immensely. I have been homeschooling my two older children, DD 16, and DS 13 for 8 plus years. DD started out in a Christian school. On the last day of 2nd. grade she asked me if I would homeschool her for the 3rd grade during summer so that she could attend 4th grade in the fall. Didn't do that, but DH and I agreed to pray through the summer about whether to just plain homeschool her. I was someone who once said, "I'd never homeschool. Leave teaching to the professionals." Another instance of God stretching me. I am also mom to a 2 yr. old son, adopted transracially through a domestic infant adoption. We are in the process of adopting again. Where we live in NJ, is very racially diverse, just one of the ways we have been so blessed to move to NJ. I had no idea when we moved here, how important that would be for our family. Looking forward to getting to know you all! Blessings, Carol
HAHAHAHA!!! I can so relate to being in denial. That is exactly how I felt when we moved to Iowa from Illinois for a few years. I never EVER claimed to be from Iowa. I can admit that now that I'm back here in Illinois. Oh, duh. WELCOME!!!!
