Praise the LORD!!!!!!! God Answered our PRAYERS!!!!! Just wanted to thank you all for your prayers!!!! I have been struggling over a year from very bad unexplained pain. I have seen every doctor and thought I had had every test. Last Tuesday, I had to go to the emergency room due to the pain. The ER doctor again could not find any reason for my pain, but sent me to a surgeon. We began to pray for answers and that God would touch the surgeon AT this point, my GYN doctor (the week before) only thought I possibly could have an adhesion on my ovary, but he did not think it was my pain. The next day, I saw the surgeon. He told me, " I think you have costa-condritis (inflamation of your rib), but lets check out your gallbladder. I had already had numerous studies done on my gallbladder, but was willing to do anything for the relief of my pain. The pain had gotten so bad I could not put my right foot down completely because of the pain that shot up my side. After a two hour test, they found that my gallbladder was not functioning hardly at all and that was my pain, but he said no adhesions showed up on my other tests. I had surgery on my gallbladder the next day(last Wednesday). They found adhesions around my belly button and my gallbladder which they fixed; however, I have to have a second surgery to take both ovaries which have adhered to my colon. I am in a lot of pain, but knowing that God answered my prayers and yours makes a huge difference. I know He is in control and I am leaning on Him to get me through this. Just FYI, In the surgeons office he has a picture a surgeon with Jesus guiding his hand. I felt God's presence in His office and also in my GYN's. I know that I am finally under the care of good Christian doctors. Sorry this was so lengthy, but when Prayers are answered it is very exciting!!!!!! Blessings, Melanee
Thank God. I am so happy that you have finally been relieved of this burden. Feel better soon and God bless you.
Praise God for His wisdom imparted to those doctors. It's great to find a doctor who is willing to listen to the Lord over his own know-it-all-edness. I pray that your second surgery will go smoothly and that all the pain will leave your body at that point.
What a relief to finally know what the problem is and to have doctors whose hands are guided by the Great Physician! I pray that His peace will accompany you through each step of your recovery and that you will soon be doing all those things you want to and need to do.
I am so happy for you! As I was reading, I was thinking, and planning on writing, almost exactly these same words! So I won't write them again, I will just concur with what Prairie said!
What wonderful news. I am so glad you are getting the medical help you need. I often wonder how people live in great pain when their doctors can't find the cause or a cure. I hope those days are over for you and you can enjoy good health again. Beth
That is great news! When my niece had her surgery, the surgeon had a painting just like that over his desk. He even asked if he could pray with the family before they operated. It sure gives more hope when the person helping you knows that it isn't by his hands but by the hands of God. Patty
I am praising God with you! Thank you for testifying to His grace and His answer to your prayers! Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so! Take care of you!
Amen and Praise the Lord!!!! Tomorrow, I go back to the doctor to see what is next. I am now experiencing some more swelling, but honestly feel it is my ovaries/ colon. Please remember me in your prayers in the morning (jan.31) Thanks, Melanee
Oh, Melanee, I hope all goes well. I also think it is a comfort when you know the doctor is a Christian.
Oh Melanee, I am so happy to hear good news! Geesh, tears are flowing from trials to praises today on this board! I pray that you finally will recover and be back to your old self.
Post OP Well, I got some not so good news today, but I am still just filled with joy!!! I guess knowing what the problem is gives me a peace of mind and above all knowing God has touched this situation and made it better keeps my hopes high.... I have faith that He will continue to take care of me. My right ovary is adhered to my colon as I was told;however, there is quite a bit of scar tissue. The surgeon does not want to touch it yet; instead, he wants to wait a month, see how my swelling is and go from there. He said he could not see my left ovary at all (that's not good). There is a chance that if he does the surgery that he could hit my bowel so if I can endure the pain, he said it would be better not to touch it. Now with that being said, my pain level is a lot better than it was and he seems to think in a month it will be much better. At the end of Feb. I will be going to him and my Gyn to consult both and decide what to do. Please continue your prayers....I have felt them and have seen their results!!! GOD IS SOOOO AWESOME!!!! God bless, Melanee
Praying that you get more pain relief and that the swelling continues to go down. When I had my appendectomy (emergency surgery), it was adhered/wrapping around my bowel and they had to cut it out.....not fun...and it made my hospital stay longer and me a bit more nauseous. It all worked out fine but I'm glad that your doctor is trying to minimize these issues for you. Hang in there! Rhonda C.
