Last summer when dad was first diagnosed with cancer, you rose to the challenge and prayed for him and I had briefly mentioned my brother in the post because I was afraid dad was going to ask me to contact my brother (which was a no go then).

You might remember the story about my bold son Andrew posting a picture of dad on my brother's facebook wall. My brother either deleted the picture off his wall or has it hidden so no one else can see it but all the pictures I have put up of dad have been in his face :)

ANYWAY, my brother never made peace with dad before he passed away (but I didn't expect he would) but he was well aware (via my facebook updates) of what was happening with dad as it was happening.

This morning I had a text from him because he needed some information for a security clearance related to his work (address, etc). I almost fell off my chair when he asked me for dad's date of birth and the date of death (he has NEVER asked anything about dad..... tried to pretend that dad didn't exist for the longest time). When I gave the date of death he replied "Wow that long ago already"

And so with that, I'm asking you to pray for my brother. I know that he is hurting in a far bigger/different way than even I am because he didn't have that chance to make peace with dad, he didn't have the chance to say good bye to him and will no doubt live with that burden of regret for the rest of his life (he hadn't spoken to dad since my wedding almost 19 years ago - maybe when my sister was married but I doubt it). He is NOT saved (embarassed to admit he does NOT believe in God) and doesn't even believe in His existence. I can witness to both of my sister's with ease but my brother has been a challenge.

PLEASE pray that God will continue to open doors for my brother. Want so much for my siblings to be reunited in paradise (RIP) with dad some day and only through Jesus and acceptance of Him will that happen.
