The boys had dental checkups today and everything is great except one thing. They have gone to the same dentist since they were 2 years old; she is a pediatric specialist. Today when #1ds came out he whispered to me, "Mom, I could barely fit in the chair today." :( He was a bit embarrassed since he is almost 16 and over 6 ft. tall.

Then the hygienist came out and was almost in tears because they were going to "lose one of their babies". When the dentist came out to speak with me, she said that she didn't care how old he was, he could come there until he's 30. :D

They went ahead and scheduled them for their next 6 month checkup, but I'm thinking that I need to find a good adult dentist. I absolutely love the one they have and it will be hard to leave her. I will keep taking #2ds to her a while longer, but I don't want to humiliate my oldest again.

    Change is hard sometimes. :(

I have a suggestion shrink him on the days of going to the dentist.

I hope you find the right dentist for him.

Trish so cute, Yes we have had the same dentist for the girls since they been old enough to sit in the chair.

Don't know what I would do if he told us we had to go or he went somewhere, been so wonderful to our family.

I've been going to the same dentist for over 20 years. I really like him. Well, way back when he married his hygienist, Tammy. One Sunday a few years back, Tammy showed up at my church. I kept looking at her, thinking she's familiar but couldn't place her. After the service, we bumped into each other and she said that I looked familiar to her. She said her name and I grinned. "I've been seeing your husband for YEARS!!!" LOL!
