My daughter is labeled "second grade" by the school district but is doing 3rd and 4th grade work. I no longer worry about what grade level she's actually in. I know that if she was put in ps as a second grader right now she'd be highly successful but may struggle a bit with math. She's right where she should be as far as I'm concerned in all but math. I hated that subject and she's struggling too so I don't stress it probably as much as I should but I know some day the light bulb will go on and we'll be all caught up.

Actually, if she were in ps right now, she might not be all that successful! She'd be so far ahead of the other students that she'd be bored. Don't know your daughter, but quite often the bored kids get lower grades, because they have an "I already know this, so why do I have to do it?" attitude. And all kids, when bored, will find SOMETHING to do; often that something is NOT something the teacher would have them do!

Well, I guesss you know you're a homeschooler when you have to ask your mom what grade you're in. :)

My DS asks a the beginning of every year. (In his defense, we skipped grades in some subjects and not in others so no wonder!)
