I bought a graduation ring for my daughter from Wal Mart. She customized it to show her interests and it only cost me $111. We were very pleased with the quality of the ring. My son's didn't want a class ring. They are not into wearing jewelry.
We had a short 15 minute ceremony. My husband and I spoke about our kids academic accomplishments, presented the diploma and had a party afterwards. We invited family and friends. We had a presenration board with photos taken throughout the years and also senior portraits. It was very nice.
I custom made the graduation announcements, diploma, and the transcript myself.
We didn't use the transcript for the graduation ceremony.
My kids didn't want to have any kind of ceremony, but I wanted to a celebrate their graduation from homeschool. It turned out really nice and everyone was happy in the end.
Good luck and congratulations to your graduate!

I also got my son a ring at WalMart. Since it was a boy's ring, it was bigger and heavier, so it was a bit more than Mouseketeer's, and after about a week he lost it. He chose to go get his GED, so he got that in the mail. No ceremony or anything. He didn't want.

We did not get sd a ring of any type. If she likes jewelry then pick out something special ring, necklace, earrings..depending on what she really likes. Way back when I graduated from high school I purchased myself a black onyx ring because I really wanted it, is there something that would be special to her that she would wear for years to come (I still have and occasionally wear my ring).

We did do a graduation party and so have most of our friends for their kids. Doing either a looping slide show or having a picture board is a common thing at the parties. Most folks rent out a pavilion or cabin at a park and do the parties there, so that helps dictate if you do just a photo board or a slide show (space and electricity).
