settlers, that sounds like a wonderful idea but I could just imagne the grades my dd's would get from my family. They are so against homeschooling they would under grade them even if they did good just to prove they were right and I was wrong.

But, it does sound neat and fun. Also gives you some more ideas too, when you run out of ideas to come up with for them to write about something.

settlers I do think it's a wonderful idea. I think I might try it with a really close friend of the families she thinks it's neat we are teaching the girls at home.

Yes, alot of people label homeschool children that way.
I do let mine stay in there p.j. sometimes as long as they are clean and they are comfortable, have there hair comb, teeth brushed and clean up some in morning.
    Once in awhile don't hurt.

    thanks for the idea settlers

My little girl writes a card to my mom, who lives in the next town. This lets her practice writing in a real situation, it will teach her about properly addressing a letter, and lots of other things writing- related.

Hey Kris- I'm sorry your family hasn't come around.

    Becky,
That is a great idea. And it will teach your daughter to be very thoughtful. We always make our own cards, that is fun too!

I think that sounds really neat. That would be fun to do.
Kris, I can tell your kids are doing fine. Your family just doesn't know.

Lorna and settlers, we are doing what we think is best for my dd's and are learning to adjusting to not doing anything with my family. It's hard but we are making it and doing wonderful. The girls are growing and loving the school which makes it wonderful.

When they wake up and smell the roses I hope and pray it's not to late for them.

My girls are my pride and joy and I will do anything for them to make them happy and help them.

This is something I feel that is right to do right now.
