Hi! It's great to find this site. Although I'm from IL and MN, I live in New Zealand and have homeschooled here for 2 years. I figure you can never have enough support in this area and somewhat surprisingly homeschooling on the other side of the world from the USA isn't all that different. So, it's good to be a part of this community and I appreciate all of the sharings. Thanks!

Well, looks like you get 2 "Deena's " in a row---she just spells hers wrong! :lol: WELCOME! This is a great place I hope you stick around! I'd love to visit New Zealand, it sounds like a beautiful place! summer before last my whole family (dh, me and 3 children) were able to go to Fiji for a 3 week mission trip. It was GREAT! That's the closest I've been that direction! This is our 9th year of homeschooling, and we love it almost all of the time! I wouldn't want it any other way! My oldest is almost 16 and will be a senior in highschool next year. Not sure what we're going to do after that... I also have a ds13 and a dd that just turned 10. Anyway, hope you enjoy it here!

Welcome Cathy! I am Karen, and I have hs my 2 kids for about 2 years now. They are dd11 & ds10. We live in Gosford, near Sydney. I have never been to NZ, but it is a lot closer for us than some of the others...matbe one day...sigh... How did you come to be living in NZ? What are the regulations regarding hs like there? You've found a great spot - I hope you stick around.
